Processing
- Receiving Instructions
Centrifuge sample and transfer serum to two separate plastic vials. If sample volume is low, prioritize the sendout test (RRPRQ).
- RRPRQ: Place serum aliquot in the refrigerated Sendouts rack (UWMT or HMC).
- UW441: Freeze serum aliquot in the -20°C Immunology rack.
Sendouts:
- Order SKPH Test: RPR Quantitative (under "Syphilis Serology").
- When completing the SKPH requisition, include the patient demographics (including address, patient ID, date of birth, and sex) and ordering provider name and NPI number.
- Send refrigerated sample with a completed requisition to Seattle King County Public Health Lab, located at Harborview Medical Center Basement West Clinic Wing.
Stability: Refrigerated: Preferred.
