Submit feces in 10% formalin in clean container (preferred) within 7 days of collection. Specimen will be rejected if greater than one week old.
Fresh (unpreserved) feces may be submitted to the lab within 2 hours of collection. Specimen will be rejected if unpreserved greater than 2 hours.
- Handling Instructions
Three specimens should be collected on separate days, as the number of oocysts varies from day to day.
