- Ref. Range Notes
- The PTT X Mean is a ratio of the patient's PTT divided by the mean of the normal PTT range. It was formerly used to monitor heparin therapy until UW specific ranges were instituted. The UW heparin range is PTT of 60 - 100 seconds. Although, the PTT X Mean can also be used to monitor the newer direct thrombin inhibitors, we recommend the DTI assay instead.
