Polycythemia Vera Reflexive Panel
General Information
- Lab Name
- Polycythemia Vera Reflexive Panel
- Lab Code
- JAKPV
- Epic Name
- Polycythemia Vera Reflexive Panel
- Description
Initial testing is performed to qualitatively evaluate for the JAK2 V617F mutation. If this is negative, JAK2 sequencing by NGS [HCAPSG] will be reflexively ordered with additional charge. Please complete a Hematopathology test form found at Request Form.
- Synonyms
- JAK2 Exon 12, JAK2 Val617Phe mutation, Janus tyrosine kinase 2, Polycythemia, Polycythemia Vera, PV

Interpretation
- Method
PCR amplification of JAK2 from genomic DNA, specific for V617F point mutation. May reflexively include single gene next-generation sequencing from genomic DNA for JAK2 exons 3-25.
