Outside Laboratories: Centrifuge and separate plasma/serum from cells within 2 hours of collection. Transfer plasma/serum to a separate aliquot tube and freeze at -20° C while awaiting shipment. Transport on dry ice.

Stability: Frozen (preferred): 1 month; Refrigerated: 1 week; Ambient: 72 hours. Unacceptable: Thawed specimens.
